Butterfield Youth Services is a nationally accredited, not-for-profit, child and family service agency located in Marshall, Missouri. BYS provides a continuum of residential care and related treatment and educational services for severely emotionally disturbed children, directed toward individualized outcomes of permanency, family reunification and independence.
BYS is looking for a dynamic executive director who has the demonstrated ability of success in organization building. Candidates should have a strong commitment to strengthening children in families and making a measurable and sustainable difference in their lives.
Candidates should also have the demonstrated ability to lead an organization in responding to a changing funding environment. This capability must include a track record of galvanizing members of an organization to take on the necessary cultural change required to implement new, necessary models of operation.
The Executive Director should have a sophisticated understanding of today's political, social, financial and healthcare reimbursement issues affecting Missouri human service agencies. In addition, the new executive director must have a keen grasp of the social, education and mental health issues facing children at risk.
Qualifications:
* Masters degree in social work or other human services profession.
* Five years post-masters professional service to children, three of which are in relation to a resident treatment setting.
* Prefer experience working with federal, state and municipal systems of funding, and policymaking as well as private fund-raising and managing a revenue-driven organization.
* Minimum two years administrative and supervisory experience of a complex organization. 5 years or more preferred.
